Upcoming in person events

From social media influencers and online communities to gaming culture, pornography and the manosphere, young people are constantly exposed to ideas that shape how they see themselves and others. Some of these influences can be positive, while others can contribute to harmful attitudes and behaviours. As parents and carers, we play a powerful role in helping boys make sense of these messages and develop a positive vision of manhood grounded in empathy, respect, integrity and responsibility. In this engaging and practical presentation, educator and advocate Daniel Principe explores the cultural landscape boys are navigating today and shares research-based strategies to help parents stay connected, build influence and support their sons through adolescence. Together, we’ll explore how to raise young men who think critically, build healthy relationships and contribute positively to their communities.

  • Dates: Monday 14 September (St Joseph’s College, Lochinvar) OR Tuesday 15 September (Trinity Catholic College, Adamstown)
  • Time: 5.30-6.00pm Dinner & Supper, 6.00-7.15pm (presentation and Q&A)
  • Cost: Free
  • Location: In person (no recording will be made available)
